Access 2000 lionked to SQL Server

Does anyone know why I can't seem to get Access 2000 to act as a clinet to my SQL Server database which lives on the Internet? I'm able to get Access 2000 to talk to a database that's on the same LAN and Access XP to talk to a database on the net. Is this a limitation of Access 2000? Unfortunately my client uses 2000 and I can't require them to upgrade as part of my solution.

Nevermind. I figured it out. The Client machine needs to have the latest version of MDAC on it.
